I recently bought an HD camcorder (Panasonic HDC-SD9 and it records the files in AVHCD format.  I am able to use the necessary codecs to play in WMP, but if I want to burn them to a DVD to watch on my 1080p TV, I don't know how - and I haven't found much online.  I was hoping some video editing guru arfcommer could help a brother out.

I guess $55 isn't BAD, but I figured there would be freeware out there that could convert it to MPEG4, just like every other file format out there.  I figured wrong, from what I'm finding.
