Which reminds me- does anyone have a good source for hobnails? I only need a few dozen

Why did they search him on a traffic stop for possibly speeding?

Just protecting and serving.

At least those weapons of war are removed from our streets.
Link Posted: 4/16/2017 4:24:09 PM EDT
Does he have history? Would be really messed up to screw up his life with a B.S. charge.

How the first one is illegal and the second could be a back scratcher.

I'll bet the first one is classified as a punch dagger. Illegal, but shouldn't be... not if I get to parry with sword and shield... or semi automatic pistol.
Link Posted: 4/16/2017 4:56:06 PM EDT
It should be illegal for politicians to have any kind of armed guard.  A phone only do they can call for help.  Cops also need to leave  their guns locked up at work when they are off duty.

The right to keep and bear arms...just not those arms.

I can't even own an expandable baton or taser in this state.
Link Posted: 4/16/2017 4:58:34 PM EDT
So what exactly are you allowed to have ?  Maybe a rolling pin ?

I wonder what the most effective improvised weapon one could have in their car would be, that would also have a plausible explanation for being there.

Would be handy to have it pre-decided in case you ever have to venture into commie territory.

When police pulled the bike over near exit 12, troopers say the operator was in possession of illegal weapons and a subsequent search found a small bat with spike strips and a knife.

So he was in possession of illegal weapons and in a subsequent search they found an illegal weapon........

Got to be a short axe or sledge handle with a steel or lead wedge hammered in the groove.

So I bet freedom is illegal also?

Base ball bat, with glove and ball present.   Walked everywhere after dark on a college campus w/o anyone ever asking why.

I keep a small 'scout' axe in the car.
In case a tree is blocking the road officer.

Yep.  Apparently you cannot buy the new Ruger Mark IV 22/45 in CT because of the threaded barrel.  A fucking .22 pistol.

Nope, we only specifically ban by length and double edge to paraphrase. Technically that knife is legal. The issue is we have a "general" dangerous weapons statute. There is case law including toothbrushes, garden hose, and such. So it's really whatever amount of risk exposure you're comfortable with. I'm guessing he hasn't a rap sheet, and not a CCW and a pistol IWB. Not that it makes it ok, but that's why he was probably treated that way.
