Im really looking to buy a pistol caliber small weapon to SBR and suppress.

However with all these new products hitting the market it isn't making my decision easy.

What does GD say?

MPX mags are expensive.

The good news is that if you buy a MPX, Sig will send you a code for a magazine discount.

The special deal is $130 for THREE magazines.

Ouch.

My only worry about the Evo is it will be too "big" of a package all said and done.

Some people are reporting issues with the lips of the CZ mags cracking. That's the only thing pushing me away from going with the CZ, other than the stupid 18x1mm threading.

The threading is a bummer,

However I have seen TROS has made a 3lug adapter for the MPX, Im sure they could do the same with the CZ

Silencerco already make an adapter for the CZ

Both have their flaws but both are good platforms. It comes down to how much you want to spend. I have a SBR'd EVO and love it, but I plan on getting a next generation MPX that will be able to switch calibers unlike the current gen (maybe? Sig doesnt even know). By that time I hope MPX mags are less than $70. Until that time I will keep blasting away with my EVO.

Also I have had my 20s and 30s loaded for months and no cracking issues. No other forums with CZ discussion have brought it up either. So I think the issue might be limited, who really knows.

CZ Evo, but hold out a little longer and wait for prices to hit sub $700. They will, just hang tough.

I recall something in a previous Evo vs. MPX thread that they stuffed 30 round mag springs in 20 rounders and it caused the lips to crack. And supposedly their solution was to clip a couple of coils. But I did not confirm any of this. Just going off of memory.

I sold my EVO for the MPX. I got sick of the neckbearding on the EVO mags and waiting on the 922 compliance kit/stock. Although the Evo is lighter, the MPX just feels better put together. It feels solid being aluminum versus plastic.

I have both. I prefer the MPX, but only slightly. Of my several pistol caliber carbines, I like the Kriss and the B&T best, but the MPX and CZs are quality. You'll likely love either one.

Yeah I've had a few MP5 clones.  Cool factor is high, but other than that they were just sort of whatever.  My favorite was my old Special Weapons SP10.  People love to trash anything SW, but the two I had were excellent and I very much regret selling them.

I'm wanting a 9mm carbine.  The Evo or a 9mm AR are the likely direction I'll go.

EVO full auto SBR version has been around for at least a few years now in mil use with the Czechs and others.  I wouldn't expect it to change much.  922r SBR kits are supposed to be on their way end of summer.

I picked up an EVO.  Of my two twenty rounders, one cracked.  Still functions and I haven't gotten around to calling them on it.

The cost of mags on the MPX is a big buzzkill, there is also an issue with the charging handle gouging up the receiver pretty bad.  I'd wait for revision 1.1 or 2.0.

My MP5 clone is also Special Weapons, 9mm.  Has run 100% with curved mags.  Doesn't with the included stick mag.

I'm meh on a pistol caliber carbine.  Makes a lot more sense as an SBR.

I'm not sure about that.. Just from me messing around YouTube looking it up they seem VERY quite with you standard 147gr, maybe someone can come along and confirm or deny this though. My octane 9 should arrive any day now then I'm gonna plung into a pistol caliber sbr
