Still 56% yes and 44% no. I hate that KS is still one of the last states not to have it.

great idea!  have a national CHL card.  finger prints,  ID, everything on one card
let it run a fwe years and then require everyone get one.  or add a picture ID to the
social security card.

so with one national card you get Social Security, mil ID, Civilian ID, Drivers license.  CHL, it will tell you if you are a felon, child molester, wife beater, dead beat dad.

but what do we give the undocumented workers?

Interesting article with it.  Perhaps such a device could be built which uses a .410 shotshell or maybe a 20 gauge shotshell instead of a handload.

Gun Shop Debuts Credit-Card Shaped Shotgun

MINNEAPOLIS -- A new weapon coming on the market is not exactly the stuff of James Bond, but it's close. This credit card-sized, two-shot gun is produced by Patrick Teel of Minneapolis, Minn.

A Minnesota gun maker has a new twist on the idea of concealable weapons: a credit-card shotgun.

The shotgun almost fits in your wallet.

The double-barrel firearm is made from a piece of metal about the size of a credit card -- and about half-an-inch thick with each barrel firing seven standard steel BB's. It retails for $100.

The Minneapolis manufacturer said the guns are for close-range self-defense.

They need a fair amount of time for loading. The user has to measure out gunpowder, pour it in each barrel, drop seven steel BBs in each barrel and tamp in a small wad of paper.

The gunmaker said it gives the owner a chance to flee an attacker. Skeptics said it would be useless in a crisis.

I guess I hold a different opinion here because I don't want a Federal permit.  I want it left up to the states.  The less federal.gov the better in my opinion.

I think I got addicted to post count when I made the rankings.     Didn't give a shit before then.

Remembering dupes does work the grey matter a little.

It's not about a Federal Permit, it's about forcing states to recognize other states CCW's like they recognize other states driver's licenses.

Thank you for setting me straight on the issue!  Next time I should actually READ instead of assuming.  We all know what happens when we assume and I definately made and ass out of myself!  For some reason I believed this was the same issue as the nation-wide LEO permit but only for Civilians.

I'll crawl back under my rock and lick my wounds now!

No, it shouldn't be legal

Cops already have the ability to carry concealed, you don't need it

So then what is someone to do if no "cops" are around, and a bad guy wants to rape/rob/kill you? Too bad? Tough luck? I think not - get a firm grip on REALITY. You pull out your (concealed) 9mm and convince him that isn't approprite behavior. Or - in YOUR scenario, aquiess and submit to being raped/robbed/killed.  Survival of the fittest I suppose.

I despise asshats..... and criminals... but I repeat myself....

How would you verify that the person you were dealing with was checked out and considered to be a law abiding person, if no actual permit was issued?
