Trying to fix my aunts HP with windows 8.1. I have tried updating the drivers and changing drivers. Any suggestions?

I don't suppose anyone made a restoration thumbdrive.
I have the file for mine on about three different thumbdrives.............
It is really going to be a PITA to get the restoration file from manufacturer....

surprisingly Hp is pretty good with providing restore disks and you can talk to an American. I haven't done it in a few years but last time it was a factory image cd for $15. Youll have to provide a serial number though.

Assuming your using ie by chance is proxy server checked in Lan settings?
