bought a kingston 4 gb sd card. I plug it into my card reader and it won't show. any ideas??

I you have an older reader, it may not read some of the newer sd cards.  You may need to buy a new reader.

Your 4GB card may be a Super High Density Card (SHDC).

Regular SD card readers won't work.

How do you tell if your reader is new enough?  Besides the obvious answer of it not reading the card.
You'll need to look up the manual and see if it's compatible with SHDC cards.


Look for compatibility with "Extreme III" as well.
