Any ideas when Colt will ship and more AE 6940 LE's? Paid for one in December....my dealer says he has no idea on ETA's.

Here's a tip: These are the times that try gun owner's souls. I guarantee you any serious answer to this thread will be bull shit. No one has any idea, and unless they are Colt employees they won't have any inside information.

Last time I saw a 6940 in a store was at Gander Mountain last November, and I bought it. Saw one 6920 a couple weeks ago at a different store but they were asking $3000 for it

OP, please read around the site for a while. Go far back into GD land and start catching up. GD is a fun, big ole shit storm, so don't expect too many serious responses. Take this as a sign pointing you in the right direction. This topic, along with price gouging, gun confiscation, "when will SHTF", etc., have been basically beaten to death.

Search around, mouth shut, eyes and ears open, and you'll pretty much find the answer to any question you need.

Just out of curiosity, why did you pay for something that was out of stock? It's not like your dealer has some inside connection. I would ask for a refund and buy one in stock in 6 months.

I passed getting one I had in hand at LGS a couple weeks ago when I was buying a Glock. I had it in hand, looked at it for 30 seconds, and handed it back. The price it was like $1499. When I realized what I had done it was in the hands of another, and being sold.

oops, I actually take that back. It was a 6920 Socom...

Your dealer buys direct?

Or you should be talking about the distributor. If your dealer was loved by the distributor, he may have some already.
