http://www.coldsteel.com/90m.html I'm not entirely sure why I want one of these.. I guess just because it is "cool" and "evil". Does anyone here have one of these?

I have one of these. I'm ordering another. For $13.00 they're a bargain. WWII Swiss military shovels. Very heavy steel. Can be sharpened to a fierce edge. They handle and balance great! It looks like a shovel, but it's really a very effective weapon.

i looked at that and am pretty sure you could put something together with gas pipe, 1/4" plate, and an old shovel handle that might work as well for a fraction of the cost. if you dont have the welding/cutting supplies, a local shop would probably do it for you. might be an easy way to satisfy your curiosity. and be a fun project too.
