Anyone playing? I need some company on 360.

It feels like CoD4 back in WWII. It took everything good about COD4 and feels like a very good mod. Suppressors back in WW2 hardly makes sense, but whatever...lol
The game is fun, but aiming with a bunch of semi-automatics on the 360 is a little hard, so I'll most likely pick up the PC version. Tanks aren't overpowered at all and add a lot of fun to the level. Graphically, it's CoD4 with some improvements including a lot of gore. Legs like to fly once a few explosions go off. Nades are nerfed and it's range reduced. Knifing is more popular than ever since a lot of people have semi-autos, but there's no Hardcore mode in the beta yet, so that might change. Overall 8.7641/10 Any questions? |

Where the hell do I go for a copy of the beta! |

X2.. i want in..!!! |

It's friends and family only, but apparently if you pre-order at Gamestop? you are guaranteed to get in.
Yea, they sent out the preorder tokens sometime last night and today, but I got my token for being a supposed VIP member on callofduty.com since I tested CoD4 in Friends and Family. Anyone registered on callofduty.com, check your account page and a code might be waiting there for you.
I just received another code for the Endwar VIP demo when I never even preordered it, or showed any interest in it...lol |
Token? How does this work? I didn't realize that there was anywhere to DL COD5 stuff in the marketplace. Do they send out a new disk? Can some of us just "pass around" someone else's token?
I should have a few extra keys early next week. Oh, and watch out for the numbnuts that have modded controllers. They make the Gwehr look automatic.
Suppressors are not a recent innovation. OSS used them during WWII. |
Yea, but was it so common to see it on every Thompson and rifle in the game? It was used by some of the Air Corps on their handguns along with a lot of CIA personnel, but the fact that everyone is running around with a silencer on their Thompson is kind of absurd.

Frankly, after the success of CoD4, I think WWII again, is a major step backward.
Woot! |
Yeah, I agree, but I'm willing to give them a benefit of a doubt. It also bothers me that the developer isn't the same as the one for COD4. |
Shall I put you on the list for a code? |
Me too!!!! |
LOL...I'm going to have to figure out how to give these out fairly. I don't know how many I'm getting yet, but they should be released Monday night. My one email isn't working so that's one beta code lost. :(

Late monday is when I'll get my other codes. By then, I'll try to have a plan on how to give the codes out. First to IM me when I get them sound fair to you guys or not?
IM sent |
lmao, I asked if it was a fair way to give them out once I have them. Not to flood my inbox now..lol
I was just trying to make it fair. Also, register on Eurogamer.net and they will release some codes next week as well. |

Don't forget your fellow Buckeye! |

I just got back from Game Stop. Pre-ordered Gears 2 and COD5. Their poster said that a Beta was available while supplies lasted but none of the employees had gotten anything from above stating anything. He said to call back in a couple of days and if they had any he'd hook me up. |
The PC beta has gone quiet. They haven't talked about it at all since the 360 beta has been released. :(
Doesn't sound like you will need a code for the PC one though, they might just call it a demo. |
M4 was that you I saw playing that today? Could have been one of the other M4s, not sure. If it was, how was it? |
If someone has a code still. I'd love to try it out... Thanks,

Register there and grab your code tomorrow. It's going to go pretty quick, but they have 20,000. |
Ditto... |
If you're feeling froggy, shoot it my way. |
I just got mine yesterday. If you migrated your charlieoscardelta account to the new site and haven't gotten one, post here and i'll tell you what to do..
Initial impresions: Since it is using the COD4 engine, it feels the same and has the same HUD exp system, challenges etc. The only difference is obviously the WWII setting. It has the color scheme of COD3 though. I'll answer any questions. |
1. Do you like it? 2. Do you think the setting detracts from COD4? 3. Do you think the weapons are diverse enough? I really felt that in COD4 85% of the weapons had something different about them that made each unique in certain situations. |
There we go. I'll see if I have any other codes by the end of the night.
If anybody has any extra codes I would really appreciate one.

No, that wasn't me. I'm still hoping to get a code from somebody. |

www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=257365 Call of Duty 5 beta keys all gone! Blog entry by Tom Bramwell After more traffic than we can ever remember (and we used to live next to a roundabout), the Call of Duty: World at War beta keys are all gone! Congratulations if you got one. In the end we had 20,000 of the things, and all of them were gone within an hour of posting them on the site. Despite a few hiccups earlier in the day, the servers even managed to maintain their dignity throughout. Well, mostly. The good news, however, is that if you missed out you can still get a key by visiting GAME and pre-ordering Call of Duty: World at War. GAME pre-orders on Xbox 360 are guaranteed a key. Look out for more on the COD5 beta - including our impressions - soon. |
If you pre-ordered from Game Stop email them at [email protected] and they will send you a code. I got mine and I'm playing now.
You'll need you send your pre-order code and the date/store info (on your receipt in an XXXXX/XX-XX format). |
