Details have been changed to protect the guilty.
A female (duh) client tells me today that she wants her divorce settlement to include reimbursement for the expenses "his" dog caused her to incur in returning "her" dog to health after a pre-separation canine dust-up. "His" dog is a ~Mastiff. "Hers" is a 9 lb. mixed-breed ~terrier. The bill for repairs to Fluffy? +$2300.00.  It was all I could do to keep from saying "Ma'am, I'd'a shot Fluffy for ya for $250 an hour, and I'd'a waived travel one way." |

"Fred ripped me off, we had a contract for him to sell me (certain expensive equipment) on time and I've been paying on it for 5 years, turns out Fred doesn't own it and the bank just served these papers on me because they have a lien on the (certain expensive equipment) and Fred never even owned the damn thing in the first place! I want to sue that bastard!"
"Okay, where's the contract?" "Oh Fred has the only contract, you'll have to ask him for a copy. After I told him I was going to sue him he said he wouldn't give me a copy...." |
