I remember when this company used to have a chrome version of everything they sold. Chrome AKs, Mosin Nagants, SKS, and every other milsurp rifle they had. If this guy starts chrome dipping these 1903s, I won't be surprised.

About two years ago I got to examine a sub 20K serial number Springfield 03. I didn't have any of my books to verify the authenticity of the parts and some parts were replaced. Still it was in pristine condition and the owner (a woman) said it was a sniper rifle. I told her there was nothing on it to indicate that it ever was a sniper rifle (no plugged holes for scopes on receiver or barrel, no modification of handguard if it had an A5 or Lyman scope on it). I probably could have picked it up for $1-$1.2k, but I'm not into buying stuff anymore.

When I worked at TGI, we sold tons of guns to the old owner of Classic Arms. As fast as we could engrave 20,000 91/30 Mosins and ship them at a time, they would take them.
