Does anyone have any links to this data:  Per capita civilian ownership of machineguns?

From all I have heard about disorganization at the NFA branch of the BATFE, I doubt even they have a clue.

I heard we have between 170 and 250 thousand registered autos in the US. Funny thing is, both numbers supposedly came from the ATF

Perhaps thats because one study actually listed MGs and another just listed all NFA items (DD, suppressors, AOWs, etc)?

If you can stand whoring yourself you can go to the VPC web site, they have "machine gun" ownership broken down by state.

It's the same numbers that were on the old ATF web site.

YMMV.

Possibly, but they were both cited as machineguns. ATFs ability to keep accurate information on the registry sucks ass.
