LOS ANGELES – Actress Christina Applegate is a mom.

Her publicist says in a brief news release Tuesday that Sadie Grace LeNoble was born Jan. 27 in Los Angeles, and mother and daughter are doing great. There are no other details.

People.com was first to report the birth.

The 39-year-old "Married . With Children" and "Samantha Who?" star and 41-year-old Dutch musician Martyn LeNoble became engaged last Valentine's Day. Her pregnancy was announced in July.

Applegate had a double mastectomy in July 2008 and reconstructive surgery months later. She is now cancer-free.

So true, but she is alive, my favorite aunt died from breast cancer, and I wll never forget her; she was so pretty and so nice to me. I miss her so much...

She is like me started her family kind of late. My oldest son was born to me when we were 36, and my youngest when I was 40. Yay for a family.

She was very pretty when she played Kelly Bundy.

But thing is she waited so late to start her family, probably because of her breast cancer. Many actresses are so busy working that they forget about their own personal live, and that the biological clock is ticking. Having a child will knock her off the air for about a year. In that time she could've made like 2 movies.

I just checked her Wikipedia entry, and she is really successful actress. Those people have to be real bright, because there is a lot pressure. I did a 30 minute company trainng movie once, using a professional movie company, it took like 22 hours to complete the video. I can imagine what it takes for a Hollyweird movie. I was exhausted at the end of the day.

I have never been in the movie business, but there are many 'stange" people there.

I would probably venture a guess that most of those folks may not be like us "ordinary" folks. I would think those people are pretty much in a world of their own. If those folks were "ordinary" people, when they would come across the TV/Movie screen, they would be pretty dull. Many times there are drastic differences between an actor's/actress' on & off screen personnas.

There is also such a thing as false generalizations. A generalization can be made when it is generally true of whatever thing, group, etc. otherwise it is improperly made. Generalizatons can't be used all of the time but they do have their uses.
