Actor Chris Penn dies at age 43
No foul play suspected in the death of Sean Penn's brother Updated: 10:51 p.m. ET Jan. 24, 2006 LOS ANGELES - Actor Chris Penn has died in a Santa Monica residence, with no signs of foul play, a local ABC television affiliate reported Tuesday. Penn, 43, was the brother of actor Sean Penn and starred in dozens of films. He played baby-faced criminal Nice Guy Eddie Cabot in director Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs” and starred along with his brother in the 1986 film “At Close Range.” He also played Willard Hewitt in “Footloose” in 1984. |

He was seriously getting overweight in his last few movies.Probably heart trouble.
he had really ballooned up - could just be regular old health problems.
Maybe from holding his breath, while waiting for his brother to move to France. |

I'm going to refrain from saying what a good portion of this board are thinking.

I lost $5 betting that someone had posted that pic of Nelson form the Simpsons in this thread.
ETA What everyone else on the board was thinking. Sean Penn sucks. |
That's too bad..........liked him of course in Reservoir Dogs and was also in the flick True Romance.

Aww that sucks. I actually liked his hapless criminal acting jobs!
I'll refrain from any bashing since he's never gone out and been a complete asshat like his brother. |

I know...I'm a bad person |
was he as "outspoken" as Sean?
I don't really know anything about Chris |
He had to listen to his brother's BS so much his head exploded.
Awww fuck. I liked him much better than Sean. Nice Guy Eddie was a great character and he was great as the cop in True Romance.
Probably the same thing we all think when the subject of Ted Kennedy comes up... |

In the first photo, he almost look like his bro, Sean. That's totally awesome!!! |
That's a shame. I liked him in The Wild Life. I loved the stripper scene. It still breaks me up. And the head butting was funny. As was their obsession with microwaving the dog. A one star movie that I like and watch occassionally.

They inked the wrong Penn? |

look for it to be BOOZE and drug related.
my bro works in santa monica and would see him from time to time hanging out in front of a hotel drunk off his ass, i think there was a rumor that he left a bag of drugs on the sidewalk. i think he may have even been arrested many times by SM police for public drunkenness. too bad, i liked some of his characters. |
Oh no...Travis from "Best Of The Best"?
Damn...Corky Romano's gay brother....dead He was the onlt Penn I liked...Sean and Michael can kiss my ass |
Man, his nose sure changed from that second to last photo, more bulbous. Is that a sign of heavy drinking?

Why did GOD choose the lesser of two idiots???
I know, I'm going to hell. Seriously though, this really is a shame, Chris was a good actor. |
Could be. Could also have been caused by being a trustee of modern chemistry. |
