Actor Chris Penn dies at age 43
No foul play suspected in the death of Sean Penn's brother

Updated: 10:51 p.m. ET Jan. 24, 2006

LOS ANGELES - Actor Chris Penn has died in a Santa Monica residence, with no signs of foul play, a local ABC television affiliate reported Tuesday.

Penn, 43, was the brother of actor Sean Penn and starred in dozens of films.

He played baby-faced criminal Nice Guy Eddie Cabot in director Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs” and starred along with his brother in the 1986 film “At Close Range.” He also played Willard Hewitt in “Footloose” in 1984.

That's a shame. I liked him in The Wild Life. I loved the stripper scene. It still breaks me up. And the head butting was funny. As was their obsession with microwaving the dog. A one star movie that I like and watch occassionally.

look for it to be BOOZE and drug related.

my bro works in santa monica and would see him from time to time hanging out in front of a hotel drunk off his ass, i think there was a rumor that he left a bag of drugs on the sidewalk. i think he may have even been arrested many times by SM police for public drunkenness.

too bad, i liked some of his characters.

Man, his nose sure changed from that second to last photo, more bulbous.  Is that a sign of heavy drinking?

Could be.

Could also have been caused by being a trustee of modern chemistry.
