FYI, the Chinese had been fighting piracy in the Malacca Strait and South China Sea for the pass two decade. Piracy was enough of a problem that the Chinese had created their Coast Guard branch to deal with it.

Good opportunity for us to gauge their abilities, technology, etc. I want to hear about how well their new rifles and cartridge combo works.

On one hand I applaud the Chinese for wanting to get involved. I think their ROE is going to be fairly lax (shoot first, shoot later, if anyone's alive after ask some questions, then shoot them).

On the other hand, they are rattling the saber. Honestly we have enough firepower in the area to make the pirates have a real bad day. China is probably just going to gather intel on our ships more than to try and scare the pirates.

But us and other Countries never use the firepower because of stupid ROE and PC Bullshit and the Chinese don't give a fuck so they will deal with the Pirates accordingly, well I hope so anyway

Actually it's a pretty good idea. Bullets zipping pass you may not get your attention, but seeing your fellow pirates catch fire would. Plus rubber dinghies and wooden boats burn nicely.

Looks like ship 171 is the Chinese ripoff of the Arleigh-Burke class Aegis system. Note the flat panal radar on the angled front sides of the superstructure, by the bridge.
