Can anyone tell me how effective they would be?

Useless, unless you're talking concentrated liquid acid.

According to the Zombie Survival Guide, chemicals besides acid and biological agents are useless.

Wait a minute.

Do nerve agents affect the CNS?

Of a living person, remember the CNS of a Zombie is working autonomously from its conscious actions. (Should it even be capable of conscious actions) thus rendering CNS ineffective.

But still open for debate as Zombies don't inhale and CNS is effective through dermal exposure.

As long as the chemical agent is flammable....& lit.  Pref gasoline/diesel with some alumnagel mixed in.

Depending on the agent, it should work...  for instance, doesn't VX cause your muscle fibers to involuntarily twitch/contract until you die?

But they're already dead.

My point is that by shooting the zombie in the head or decapitating it, you're severing the brain from the central nervous system.  A nerve agent should do the same thing, should it not?

Then again, it would be a difficult weapon to employ.  You would only be able to use it in crowds of zombies as opposed to individual zombies.

Radiation from atomic bombs, (assuming they're not killed in the blast) makes them faster and stronger. I wouldn't want to risk helping them evolve any more. Stick with the bullet to the head.
