I get it, but it's not palatable for some to elect an R who they know will still blast us in the ass. I don't believe a word Trump says, so I would have a very hard time voting for him. What we need is a LONG term strategy to return power back to the States and remove power from the Fed gov. If part of that strategy is voting for Trump right now and selecting a self serving closet liberal, fine. But right now I would rather vote libertarian so that they get enough votes and get more recognition in future years (debates, $, etc). That is in my opinion, a better long term play than electing Trump. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think Trump will blast us in the ass too. I am more concerned about Senate/house seats. The president can rail us pretty good, but it would be a nightmarw for then to have free reign with the legislative branch. Then we would really be fucked. Outside of elections, we need to address the problem of having so many dumb or ignorant voters in the first place. We need to find a way to generate more informed Americans and tip those on the fence, over to the correct side. |
