It is spyware. Also slows your system down by a good 30%.

Spyware--as in Comet cursor reports back to various nefarious (take that Seuss) places what you click while browsing.

Thanks. I just uninstalled it. Was a cool cursor though. Bastards! [:(!] [red]Libertas an Mortis!![/red]

I created a cursor from the one above that stands alone (i.e. - no Spyware). If anyone wants it, just ask...

You can go to http://www.lavasoft.de/ and download and install Ad-Aware.
Ad-aware is a free multi spyware removal utility that scans your memory, registry and hard drives for known spyware and scumware components and lets you remove them safely. It is updated frequently.

Well, my entire hard drive got wiped and re-imaged, so I'm pretty sure it's gone. Adaware tells me I'm clean, too. As such, I reiterate my previous offer. Anyone who wants it, feel free to e-mail me. LostWildCat - Yours is on the way...

Okay, how about a link for Adware??? I'm not that net savy in finding things....

SHIT! I've been super-duped. I had some "security warning" come up and I installed the GAIN or gator stuff. I'm fukked, right? I'd better use the Ad Aware, hadn't I? I'm pissed. Any advice on removing "other" little scams that might have popped up? Start another thread on it if you have to so the rest of the folks can get with it. 24,000+ members...and I'll bet a LOT of them would appreciate it. Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow night.[rolleyes]

USNA91 - Me too! Me too! (dragonland@juno.com) Thank you. For everyone else - Ad-Aware is nice to have. I haven't installed much of anything, and AA caught about 50 spyware programmes anyhow. Get it, run it. FFZ BTW - If anyone's done the POW/MIA, Dog Tags, and Purple Heart I'd appreciate them as well... FFZ
