Okay, so I'm sitting here listening to Virgin radio on my computer and on comes the song Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus.  Good song, I like it, but they get to the verse that normally says

Her boyfriends a dick...he brings a gun to school...

and it has been edited to just say

Her boyfriends a dick...

Strange.

I always interpreted this song/verse to be anti-gun anyway but I guess those crazy Brits decided to totally edit out any reference to the gun.  Makes me wonder what they edit out of other songs.  Wasn't there a Brian Adams song with a chorus something "cuts like a knife?"  I wonder if that even makes it to the radio at all or if knives are higher on the socialist scale than guns.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised with their mania for controlling what they consider "anti-social" behavior over there in the United Socialist Kingdom.

I noticed that a few years ago - there was a song (can't remember the name) from an album called "Whitey Ford singes the Blues" (by Everlast, or Everclear, or something like that) and there's  one line about people calling this woman a "whore" and that was played, but when the lyrics were about a "45" (handgun, not beer) it was edited out.

That was really depressing.  I guess it's okay for kids to learn how to call people whores, as long as they don't talk about guns??  

Yea they do that now, in Nas's "One Mic" one line is censored like this "Now I'm strapped with a couple of macs to many nines", or his song "Got Yourself a Gun" which on the radio is called a "Got Yourself a".  It varies from station to station.

Yup - that's the one.  They also edited the "gun" out of "gun fight" IIRC

One of the other verses (which I can find now, thanks) that didn't get edited, was:
