My wife and I are looking at houses, and we found one we like. The problem is there is way to much tile. If we buy this house, we would want to replace the tile in the living room with carpet. Can we just carpet over the tile? or do we need to rip out the tile?

Yes, carpet over it.  The pad will be lightly glued to the surface of the tile and the carpet goes over the pad.

I can't imagine too much tile, I did my entire house.  Can you do some rugs?
