Yes, for the most part, with only the most rare exception, it's gimmicky to claim "nano-something" or "carbon nanotube" as part of an armor product.
It will, without question, change the world when the technology is perfected but we're not there yet. Not at all.
CN fiber is useful as a resin blend for reinforcing hard armor but the truth is, that's too expensive to use in a meaningful way. So... call me skeptical that this has much of anything to do with carbon nanotube tech. I happily invite someone to prove me wrong, because I would love to be shown otherwise.
