I beleive thst your problems would indicate a job correctly done. My brother's 1970 cutlass just had new weatherstripping put in and it takes a bit more effort to close the doors.
It's just a result of the air pressure not being able to escape easily with the better seals. |

If all the seals are now in good shape the vehicle is now more air tight. So needing a slight bit more effort to close a door is somewhat normal. You might also buy a can of DRY Silicone spray lube to put on the weather stripping. It will allow the glass to slide against the rubber easier. Avoid getting it on the paint as much as possible and then wipe off any excess.
