Is that the bound book they speak of? I would get it straight before the 1st visit...Almost got FFL years ago...glad I didnt! Good luck!

Brownells sells the bound books for like $4-5 each. They've got about 20 8.5 x 11.5" pages which is enough for several hundred tranactions. The books are really neat in that they have complete instructions with examples for the most common transactions. The 2" thick packet of junk the BATF sent you includes requirements. I believe that you have 30 days to enter your pistols in the book. Check your regulations... what did you get anyway?

There's no quick way to explain it. Make sure you read everything in the 2nd package. Did you get that yet?
The "State Laws" are actually kinda interesting to read, you'll get a giggle out of the size of the California laws compared to some of the other states that only take up a page or less. After reading THAT, you'll KNOW that gun control really works, & there can't possibly be ANY firearm related crimes at all in CA. [:\] As soon as you start reading the federal laws, you'll be surprised at how the BATF interprets their mission, their interpretation is (at least a little) different than you might expect. |

Thank you everybody.I've bought a Nazi Walther and a Nazi Luger.About 95% or more of the finish,excellent,almost as nice as new condition.All matching numbers and of course,original configuration.It sure pays(and gets you broke)having a C&R.[flag]

I use the Brownell's FIREARMS RECORD BOOK (BLUE PRINTING), #108-006-000. I think it was $3.
