Sometimes I can. The best lucid dreams I ever had is when I was on the nicotine patch! I even used them recreationally for a bit after I started smoking again just for the awesome dreams

I am pretty sure I can control my dogs dreams. What I dream they are forced to dream as well.
If we are all asleep at the same time. Otherwise they can dream as they will.... |

They got to watch, hear, and smell my Sportsman's Double last week.
Needless to say, they were impressed. |
|
Sometimes but I never realize I am dreaming until I wake up. I should start doing reality checks .
|
|
Nope.
I A) rarely dream and B) forget it within 10 minutes of waking up even when I do
|
|
I have at times in the past. I also read all about it and actively tried to train myself to be able to dream lucidly. All attempts were unsuccessful.
Now I'm on a lifetime supply of sleep meds, so I rarely dream at all anymore. When I do, they are vivid as shit, but I have no control over them, and they are usually completely nonsensical.

Yep, all the time.
The other night I was riding down the street on my sportbike when shit started goin down and I had to GTFO. I pinned the throttle and my bike sprouted a set of rotors, and off I went jumping from rooftop to rooftop perpendicular to the street.

Yes. I do it often. I also remember a lot of dreams from my childhood. I also remember my dreams upon wakening.
Also.. I always dream in color. I have dreamed in cartoon, I have dreamed in video game graphics. I usually dream of whatever I'm thinking of right before I fall asleep. |

Sometimes yes and sometimes no. As it goes, it is usually the good dreams I can control and the bad ones I cannot. Even when I do devise a way to control them, "that system" finds a way around it.
I use to have a dream that I was in bed with a strange man who might have been close to raping me. I never saw his face but I worked out a way, mentally, to wake up from that dream. As it was, I eventually did see his face, it was no one I knew, and those dreams stopped. But now, I have another kind of repeating dream where there is an intruder in the house. The mental wake up command is triggered, I wake up.....and there is an intruder in the house. "That system" worked out a way around my wake up command by multi layering the dreams, one dream inside another. I even had one of those dreams tonight. I woke up, I went to turn on the light switch and it didn't come on. So I tried another light switch and it didn't come on. It wasn't a power failure because the standing lights were on so light switches not working told me is was sabotage, thre's an intruder in the house. In the dream, I started a sweep, dressed only in panties, a golf ball in one hand and a wine bottle in the other. That may be one of the control factors of my dreams I do have; i don't run, I ATTACK. I did not come in contact with the intruder, didn't see him, and I woke up. And the dream repeated. This time, it made only two passes before it shifted to another nightmare. It may be that I am getting control of my dreams.......or having the dog nestled next to me in my sleep is influencing them. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ("Wow.....lucky he didn't kill you too. OP, have you ever taken Doxycyclone or Doxycycilin (something like that). You cant control them, but that shit will give you some trippy dreams.

It's a place where you will learn
To face your fears, retrace the tears And ride the whims of your mind Commanding in another world Suddenly you hear and see This magic new dimension |

Yep. Most of the time when I figure out I'm dreamin it's because in the dream I'm forced to walk a great distance. I don't know what that means, but usually I'm like haha fuck this I'm not stupid enough to walk this far when I'm awake...I be flyin bitchez! Most of the time I wake up upon landing.

In some dreams I dream that I am running and I jump a really long distance. Almost like when I jump I fly just a little bit further than possible.
I then think in my dream "dang! I'm a badass" And just a few nights ago, the bullets I was shooting , were actually making "hits" on the bad guys! |

My sleeping schedule is pretty fucked up from working a part time night job on top of my full time job for the last two years. I'm all over the place when it comes to dreams. I'd say I have only a couple a week, and for the most part they are basically reliving mundane times in my life or uneventful, other times they are completely fucked up.
Had a dream I was wheeling around on the open road in my car, seemed pretty real as i was in my actual car and seemed to be driving within my actual ability. Then I somehow lost control at a high rate of speed and slammed sideways into the biggest Fucking tree in Florida. I must have pieced together in my imagination what would actually happen, and my response of trying to shield my head with my arms. As I hit the tree I kicked my leg soo hard in real life that it woke me up and threw all my sheets onto the floor. Seemed soo real I though I was either dead or waking up in a hospital bed. Most recently, as in last night I had one that threw me awake. I've been looking at buying a road bicycle to ride to work, went to a couple bike shops and looked around online. Was thinking about what route I would take to work and the time it would take as I was falling asleep. So I finally started to doze off and as soon as I shut my eyes my dream started, it was me riding my new bicycle to work for the first time and out of nowhere a Fucking bus runs me over. Like as soon as I shut my eyes I'm getting run over by this bus. Again, I'm thrown awake and trying to figure out if I'm dead. I'm not even scared about being on two wheels either, I've put damn near 40,000 miles on a motorcycle in the last few years. |

Sort of. If I fall asleep with a television on, I will dream about whatever is playing.

I looked around and saw a bunch of other paratroopers landing. I saw what appeared to be a weapons case at my feet. I thought "Dude, I am a Paratrooper, I am a Badass!!" I opened it up to find a 2 X 4. Ok... this is a dream...... Nope shitty Jumpschool PLF. Partial amnesia. Faked my way through the second jump that day. |

" /> I Have waken from one dream and still being in the main dream. Only once. Freaked me out. |

I always feel like I'm running with 40 pound weights tied to each leg. My dreams have felt like that for my entire life.

If I get three more posts tonight I and my dogs are going to "Freddy" everyone in this thread tonight...well that may be a bit ambitious...anyone with multiple posts then.
|

I can but it's like when I am half asleep and half awake, so while I can do what I want, because it's sort of subconscious, my brain still doesn't do whatever it wants in the dreams.
Kinda hard to explain, but I've never had full control over my dreams, just partial control. |

If I am sleeping softly and like you said, "know I'm dreaming", then yes.
Not very often, but yes. |
|
I did once. I realized I was dreaming while in the middle of a minor nightmare. Think b list scary movie. Anyways, remember that scene from the matrix where they say they need guns and racks upon racks come sliding in. Yeah, I did that and started a firefight with the guy who was haunting/chasing me.

I had some kind of crazy dream last night involving 2 hot chicks, the Stargate, an AR15, and a couple helicopters.
|
|
Not that I know of. I'm sure I've had dreams where a couple weeks later my dream is coming true word for word and everything happening is identical.
|
|
Yes, I have for years, but lately I just don't care and let it go where it does.
|
|
On rare occasion. Usually when I realize I'm dreaming, I wake up.
|
|
Just woke up and let dogs out.
Dreamt that I was in the back of a old row of shops and heard noise so I went into this old tavern there was ZZ Top playing live, and he had shaved his beard. I kept trying to get his attention and say he was kicking ass, and after the song Coco Blue, he handed me his keys and said to party in their bus anytime. Then I left and realized I did not have my iPhone. I went back and it was gone. Then I thought about getting an iPhone 4 and what Siri would be like, but I would have to wait until morning with no phone and would never get the new one set up like the old one since I have not backed up in a while. Then the dog barked. Phone on counter. No ZZ Top. |
|
Yes and I also dream in color and sometimes it's black and white with certain items in color.

I can control some of mine, and the best part is, I know I am dreaming so I do whatever the F i want.,, do you guys ever control your dreams? When I was younger I was able to do what I call serial dreaming. I'd go to sleep and pick up the same dream where I left off the night before. I haven't tried to do it in a while. |

When I first heard people talking about dreaming in color, I was really confused. I thought everyone always dreamed in color, since I always do. Never knew anyone had a different experience until then.
