So it's making a come back. This is the most retarded challenge in the world. The people make it about them and not the disease. Oh look at my video of me throwing water over my head. It's about raising money for ALS not about people watching other people dumping a bucket of ice over their head. Let's take one of the worlds most precious resources and dump it over our heads The disease is playing second fiddle to the reactions. I really want a tally of how many people just dump the ice over their head and its a "me" moment and don't even give any money.

Go ahead and look up how much money ALSA made from the ice bucket challenge, then be quiet.
Do it. |
|
All I can say about it is that the ALS charity got more money last year than probably all other years combined.
I think the idea has run its course though. I expect it to fizzle out this year. |

After looking at the ice bucket fails, I wanna know how many neck injuries it caused

ALS: Sign your DNR/DNI and go to palliative care after you lose your motor function. I really wish we told new-diagnosis' that your going to lose control of your body, be trapped in a bed, and ohh by the way everything else is going to start failing after that.
While I applaud the research, I find a lot of places that say "we're close to a cure" puts people through a lot of unnecessary suffering. |

"Look at me" publicity stunt.
I don't care how much money ALSA raised. Oh, and I got to watch my father die a slow agonizing death from ALS. |

I think more pornstars should do it. As long as they are female.

It seemed like people would rather do the challenge instead of donating. Why go through all that crap and make a video when you can just donate anonymously?

Wasn't the premise that if you didn't "accept" the challenge that you were supposed to donate $100, and if you did "accept" then donate $10?
If that is true, as I understand it, then people are showing that they would rather dump a bucket of ice over their head than to make a large donation to the cause. |
