At home is fine.  At work, when I try to pull the site up, I get the connection, get the black screen, get the top line (Membership/EE?...) and the blue bar gauge at the bottom moves to about 90%, then nothing.  The little window in the upper right indicates it's still churning around trying to finish, but nothing ever happens.

Running Internet Explorer.
Thanks

Do I remember that there is another format of this site w/no pictures that you can pull up at work, or was that just a joke/suggestion/leftover false memory from an Alien Abduction?

I'm having the same problem today and yesterday.  Never had it before.  About 90% loads very fast.  The last 10% takes @5 min.  At home no problem, at work---slow!  I tried from the mirror sight, no go either.
HELP!

GB,
What kind of questions do I need to ask the Tech guys that set up and run the network where I work?

I have a feeling they did something with the firewalls or something else.  I noticed that gunsamerica is not not available to me either.  This is a on and off problem also.  So, maybe they did something that is causing the sight to slow down at the end of the load?  Thanks for your recommendations and help.

I talked to one of the tech guys here.   He said no new filters.  He did say that we go throught ATT, and that they run a filter every so often.  This has never happend before, unlike the on again off again use of gunsamerica.  This is the only sight that causes this type of problem.  I just get a "forbidden" page for gunsamerica.  I'm frustrated!

This is the slowest I've ever seen this site.

I' at home and on both the laptop and desktop it's been taking forever to open up the forums. Then they are not fully opening or timing out trying to load. It took me over 10 min to make one stinking post on the LEGP forum!!! If I did not want a LGP so bad I'd say the hell with it and check back in a couple of days to see if things have improved any.

Don't know what the problem is but no other web site I've visited today has acted the same.

I have noticed things running pretty slow as well, and I have a fairly fast connection (cable). Worst times seem to be evenings and early in the morning.

Thanks GB,
I appreciate all the work you do to make this sight the best there is.

GoatBoy,
I'm having the same problem as GLOCKshooter, at home its fine but at work I get the black screen and header and then it takes forever to load the rest of the page ( 10 minutes ).  I'm not aware of any new filters.  All other gun forums load fine.

Thanks for looking into it.

I noticed that there are no adds showing up when I access the sight from work.  I just have the dark gry bar across the top where the adds usually are.  Maybe this is why it takes so long to load the last bit of info??????  Hope this helps you solve the problem.

Goatboy,
I know your a busy man but, I'm going through AR15 withdrawals.  I do about 90% of my AR15 viewing at work and with it taking 10 minutes to load a page it kinda puts a kink in my viewing. Thanks for the help.

Bump! Goatboy, I have the same problem at work, have had it for several weeks. 1-2 minutes to load a page, even if just hitting "back". All other sites have no problems.

Thanks for looking into it.

Well, I could use more money and free time, but as far as this goes, yeah, I'm good.
