Altho there's nothing wrong with being prepared, it seems like some people want the end of the world to hurry up so the big adventure can begin (I suspect anyone who has a burning desire/interest in the end of the world never spent much time in the woods in a tent & w/o a toilet) with Y2k such a resounding flop another end of the world conspiracy was a necessity.

Personally I hope they are wrong-I suspect the post holocaust world will be low on thigh highs and we may lose the technology behind the guinness cans that are foamy when you open them.

Don't forget the kevlars or a steel pot.  Next storm that rolls through, you will need it or the hail will knock you out cold.  Oh, I so hope for SHTF/TEOTWAWKI - I do love spending hours in the cold pouring rain while the stream of runoff cascades down the hill and up the ole tailpipe.
