I have been trying on and off over the last few years to re-connect with some of the people I served with while in the Army.  I have had very little luck.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on where/how to look?  I have generally pretty limited information, like Name and a time a person was at a particular post, but nothing more than that.

Any help/advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

Military.com

They have a buddy finder section. Check and see if any of them have registered with
their webpage.

I've found a few that way.

That's what I was going to suggest. They are a bit commercial, but they have some good features.

Here's another vote for military.com.  I just got an email from a buddy of mine who got out 2 years before me.  We had lost touch, but he found me at mil.com.

They also have a way to search units for contact info.  If your friend has added his unit to his bio it will make it easier to find him.  Especially if he has a common name.

Good luck.

Army Knowledge online. I got out a few years ago but I remember that every soldier had to have an account there. https://www.us.army.mil/suite/login/welcome.html

I have run across old friends on classmates.com. It costs though, and I don't pay anymore. You can list by duty station. Good luck, John

I have been trying to hunt down my tank commander SSG Steve Keller for ever now.  He is not the computer type so I would not expect to find him on the net.  Any other resources?  I tried milcom with no luck

For you Paratrooper types out there, there are a few Paratrooper places online, such as ArmyParatrooper.org

First place to look is your Unit's Association. Almost all Units have them , some even have groups broke down as far as Med Co,s ect. Most are on line also.
