It looks like he's got a blossom as part of his rank insignia which fits with Japan. ETA: It looks like he's a "Private Second Class". ETAA: Well, the rank insignia looks Japanese, but the camo doesn't look right. I'm still going with Japan. |

It does indeed look like a Japanese soldier using what I assume is now an out-of-date camouflage pattern. |

Taiwanese. They use the Aussie M60 style FN MAG58 bipod on their Type 74 GPMG and an ERDL-variant camo. Bet a membership on it.

That is a Taiwanese Army uniform and looks to be a female. I know that patch is for sure Taiwanese, and in color is yellow with red edging and stripes.
The strap is used for gunners that are in a standing position on HUMVEE or similiar position.

That is just a piston AR, isn't it? The handguard is kinda cool though. Wonder if Tapco sells them stateside... |
