I know Hawaii has some different rules.............anyone know if I can ship some 300wm to him directly?

I think you can.  However, dealers like Ammoman don't and those that do use Fedex...

J&S Sales  "We cannot ship ammunition to Hawaii and Alaska except via FedEx or a freight forwarder"...notice it says "cannot"..FWIW.

Best bet is to ask in the HI hometown forum.  Ask them if they can order ammo over the web.  My guess is they can't.  But I have no clue.
