I have been smoking Marlbro Lights (woman cigs) for a little while now, and today I decided to spring for a pack of Camel Lights today.

It was amazing in how much smoother the Camels tasted, and went down. Even smelled tons better too.

Damn..

Maybe to you, but to us non-smokers they still smell like rancid burning turds. [:D]

I only smoke when I drink. Only.

Try Camel Ultra Lights. They are a little better still than the Lights.

"I'd Ride a Camel to Get a Marlboro"?

Had to comment, but "yuck" either way.

I smoked Marlboro regulars for thirty years, 3 packs a day. I grew up with both parents smoking heavily, and I could never even smell the smoke in the house, or on my parents, or anybody else, for that matter.
Three years ago this past April, I quit, cold turkey. Now I can smell the smoke on someone, 15 feet away, outside.

I figure smoking is slightly better than sitting behind a Dodge Diesel idling in traffic.

I smoke about a pack a month and like the Camel Filters better than the Marly Reds.

I used to smoke Marlboro Menthol but now I smoke Djarum cloves. They are getting really old and I hate regular cigs. Maybe a good time to quit. I tried a couple of times before and I have an incredibly strong will. But this is a demon that I can't shake. I hate them and I wish I never started. Even at three packs a week the total amount my wife & I waste a year is equal to a good pre-ban Colt.

So far, it's the beginning stage of emphysema, as I posted a few months ago, and, I'm still working on the quitting.  Did cut way down and enjoy it less.

I keep reminding myself with this comment:

"I have no need to suck the smoke of burning tobacco into my lungs..."

Then, I go drive the diesel coaches for a living!
Seriously, I'm almost at the mental point of quitting smoking.  I know it.
Giving up the joy of alcoholic beverages over 11 years ago, I know I have the willpower to quit and stay that way when I finally make the decision.

As to the TOPIC question:
Camel Filters!
It's been the coffin nail of choice since I started smoking in church camp at age 14!!!

BusMaster007 I wish you the best in stopping smoking. I guess you can kind of think of it as someone trying to slowly torture you to death.

Good luck Busmaster. It's tough but not impossible. I smoked for 12 years, and just finally gave it up in April.

I used to smoke Camel non-filters, then I moved to Camel filters.  Smoked them for quite a while, but they were hard to get it Japan, so I switched to the Cowboy Killers.  Never bothered to switch back.  Besides, Marlboro gives away some pretty cool stuff along with lung cancer.  Hmmmmmmmm....think I'll light another.[smoke]

Yes, Camel IS a superior smoke than Marlboro. Philip Morris' Marlboro is (and has been) a marketing goliath over all other cigarette makers in the world, hence the overwhelming popularity. I find Marlboro to be mediocre--might as well save a little with GPCs.

Having said that, I fear I know too much, and need to quit too [>(] [cough [BD] -cough [:X*] ]

Personally, I quit cold turkey, but I've heard that both the patch and Zyban work well.

Camel Lights.

Like the wides better but they made me huff and puff when doing stairs.  Started on Camel non-filters in 6th grade many many moons ago.

Do yourself a favor and try to quit smoking. I know it's tought to do, I did it 4 years ago.
I used to smoke 1-2 packs of Salem a day. When I quit it was $2.00 a pack at the gas station, I can't believe what it cost today. You could easily save up for another AR15 in no time if you quit and save the cash.

I remember seeing how the Tobacco Companies design "Light" cigarettes to fool the testing machines but in fact deliver the same amount of bad stuff.

Light cigarettes have holes in the filters to cut down on gases that register on the test device but people suck harder or pull the cigarette deeper in the lips.

When I smoked, I smoked the Reds. Light cigarettes just tasted worse and do the same damage.

Here's why I quit smoking:

If there were no cigarettes, there would be no market for Viagra.

That's right, gentlemen, there is a direct physical relationship between smoking and impotence.  The cumulative damage to the circulatory system, in the form of hardening of the arteries and high blood pressure, leads to the inability to achieve/maintain erection.  I'm not making this up.  Run a couple web searches and find out for yourself.  Emphysema and cancer never scared me, but this did.

Oh, and to whoever it was that smokes the clove cigarettes, death by edema of the lungs is extremely unpleasant.
