The hair on the back of my neck won't go down. God I had bugs. I'd rather see a 30 ft snake.
Holy fuck. I found a wolf spider in my house last night, probably 2 inches across - big fucker. I almost shit my pants. Those bastards can run fast!!
This is in addition to the bigass Black Widow I found in the laundry room. Yes, the house is getting bombed this weekend. I would piss my pants if I ever came across a camel spider. |
impressive most impressive
that looked like a giant anole ( not to be confused with the little anoles you get at a pet shop) |
I want to engage that thing from no less than 1000yds so I vote for a 50cal. |
I just squirted into the pants a little, ahem........in the back BTW

Niiiiiice!
I just wish they had another object in frame to get an idea of scale since lizards can be pretty darn small. |
Look at my pic up above. The spiders get BIG |
Hey, someone grab that for me. Big Boys is blocked here and I gotta see it! PLEASE!!!?!?!?!?!?!

That is what I would call a "12 gauge solution" That also make a great song title!

Is it true that those things don't care whether or not they are technically spiders? |
i would evac and call in arty so fast it would make your head spin
or i would mail it home.... |
That's what I though. I swear, for some of you guys, your reality is the internet. |

In true ARFCOM style --- GET BOTH This is my first 'get both' post ...... |

For some of you guys, you lack any sense of humor... ...did you even read the snopes article?

Thanks.... I'll be having nightmares tonight after seeing a big that big. I'd be afraid if I tried to step on that thing with my boot that it would catch my foot and start eating it.
They're not spiders, technically or otherwise. Totally different species. That's like asking if a praying mantis is technically not a wasp, for reference. |
They are more closely related to scorpions than spiders, but nasty as hell either way. We would put the ones that we caught into clear plastic containers and you could hear them chewing on the plastic trying to get out. At night, they look like rats running across the flightline. Man those suckers were fast!
edit caus i cint spleell |
My friend tried to stomp one that found it's way into our office (a tractor trailer container) he missed, and it ran up the right leg of his flight suit! He was outta the suit, boots and all in what seemed like less than 5 seconds. We all had a good laugh that night (mostly cause he was naked in the hanger and refused to put his clothes back on. |

Nothing like the tarantulas in Texas...I grew up playing with those. I've had two run-ins with camel spiders. I came out the winner in both, but the second encounter was a close one... I have a healthy respect for the bastards, fur shur. |
Thanks... now I'm even more freaked out. Are those thing venomous? Do they bite people? |
they can bite hard but no venom
they just rip shit limb for limb when they catch it |
That video looks like it's using that lizard like a Capri Sun drink pouch, sucking it dry. So you're saying it actually eats b taking bites out of things? Dude if that thing crawled up my pant leg I'd jump so high they'd have to send a space shuttle into orbit to retrive my wussy ass. |
