I've been asked to do for free, a presentation super fast (by Monday) for a project our local airport is going to do. They are going to put a static display of a warbird jet in front of our small airport but need drum up more cash from the community. It'll be deicated to a local veitenam hero. It's a project I can really get behind. I hope you can help.

I need photographs or web site links to pictures of static aircraft displays in front of airports, air bases, etc for this presentation. I'm going to be coming the net all night (and two six packs later) but I'd thought I'd call on the loyal and ever helpful AR-15 gang for assistance since I'm sure I can't find everything.

Anything however remote will be helpful. If you have photos, you can send them to me as big as you can to [email protected].

Nothing like a gate guard to "make" an aiport.  Many of these are museum sites, but I imagine the same principles would apply.  Also try the AOPA Airport Support Netowrk.  They have some reference material in there on airport promotion, they could point you in the right direction, perhaps you could get in touch with your local ASN volunteer.  [url]http://www.aopa.org/asn/[/url]

I've been to this one. It's pretty cool. I glanced over the web page and didn't see pictures of all the stuff I know they have, like a B-52 and an unusual helicopter with two rotor shafts 3 feet apart.

Got to spend a little time in the tower too. Not on the official  tour but the guys were really cool. Nothing like watching a C5 do a short roll takeoff below you.
