Is the timing belt on a 2.2 liter '94 plymouth sundance engine (non turbocharged)the interference type?

What about a 92 Ford Ranger 6 cyl? (4.0 I think)

Will the engine be ruined if it breaks while its running?

any replies appreciated.

Yes the engine will be ruined due to the Valve to Piston impact, not nice and very messy  BOOM!!!
