I hope everyone (living in California) goes out and votes for Bill Simon today.

I'm sure most of you do not want that RINO Dick Riordan to win, he is pro gun-control (and pro-choice if any of you care about that issue also).

Well, I tried, but the cycle of bureacracy has prevented me...

I moved over the summer and reregistered at my new address.  They must have lost my paperwork or something, because I never got a reply card, now that I think about it.  I got a little suspicious when I didn't get a voter guide, but it was too late to register by the time I noticed.

I showed up at my old polling place in the hopes that I would still be on their list, but no such luck.  I then went to the polling place which was supposed to serve my address, but they don't have me either.

Maybe I'll show up and pretend to be someone else...

Thanks so much DVDTracker, I went to my local polling place and asked for a provisional ballot.  They asked why, and I explained the situation, at which point they looked through their little book and said "Oh, your name is on the list of people whose registration confirmations were sent back for some reason."

It took a little effort, but I got my vote in.  Hope everyone else does the same.

Go Bill Simon!

Simon is kicking ass, looks like a winner!
Simon - 49%
Riorden - 29%
Jones - 23%

20% of votes in, AP declared Simon the winner.

Done.

The results are encouraging.  Note that the NRA was behind Jones, who has some time in office already.  However, the word must have been out that Simon had a better record on 2nd Amendment issues.   Good to see we're shaking a few things up out here....

The NRA may have been banking that Jones would have a better chance against Davis in the general election.  Simon is very conservative, and in this haven of Socialist that will work against him.  In Davis' speech tonight he was touting his record on gun control.  The pro freedom Californians are gonna have to hit the polls hard in November to beat Davis.
