Something occurred to me yesterday, dunno if anybody else noticed.
If the Japanese reactors do explode and the fallout does scatter across the ocean and over California, one side-effect may very well be that the demand for California produce could drastically decrease for at least a year, if not longer..... and they're already facing budget shortages.
That is something that will affect a lot of people very badly (some of them here) so I dunno if it's quite reasonable to hope for it.
Nonetheless it would be very ironic if the US state with the tightest pollution laws suffers the worst radioactive pollution of the last fifty years.... from reactors that are nearly halfway around the world.
At least Scott Walker will get a break, since then the unions will have another bigger, more-evil governor (making even bigger cuts) to pick on.
