Do they sell complete .22 lr ARs in California? My understanding is that rimfires are exempt from Cali's ban, so as long as the lower doesn't have a banned name on it, it would be OK.

Also, does anyone sell complete single shot 50 BMG rifles based upon the AR lower? These could be leagal in Cali as well, until AB50 comes into effect in Jan. 2005.

I dunno, but I say that Osma Bin Lockyer will be banning single shot / pump / blocked lower mag wells AR15's that are not registered as Kommifornication "assault weapons" as soon as he figures out that a .50 cal BMG AR15 upper fits on them.....

As soon as you added the .50-cal upper to the AR-15 lower, wouldn't you have a banned weapon assuming it isn't registered?

I think that only applies to the .50BMG cartridge.

The idea is that you could register a lower as a .50 BMG.

Actually, the CA forum covers this pretty well. I'm still absorbing info . . .
