An assistant manager at a Northern California Burger King found a backpack loaded with about $100,000 in a booth, but so far no one has come forward to claim it. |

Sounds like the start to "No Country For Old Men".....watch out for the dude with the bolt gun
|

Wow. I would've buried it somewhere long enough to let any shit die down, then it's FO time on bills, guns, and ammo.
|

Drug runner I bet. Usually they ride bikes or walk to avoid getting pulled over.
|
|
If I found 100k, it wouldnt end up in a news story. Cause I sure as shit wouldnt tell anyone.
|
|
I would have held on to it until the owner came back. I wouldn't have made public announcement because now lots of people might pretend it was theirs.

Finder will soon find himself head-first into a 55 gallon drum of Diesel.
|
|
Put backpack on, walk out of the store, load up your must-have shit and move to a different State that day.

I immediately would've called the cops and turned that $1,000 in.
|

|
I would be tempted to keep it but probably would not because it's not worth 100k to worry about being targeted by a drug dealer.

Assistant manager Sahista Bakawla told KGO ( http://abc7ne.ws/1ClMpbO ) he spotted the blue backpack left in his San Jose eatery early Wednesday. He said when it was still there by that afternoon he called the owner who opened it, hoping to find identification or a phone number. Instead, he found a whopping amount of $100 bills. Officers came to the restaurant and opened the bag, which also contained some candy, a small amount of marijuana and a bank deposit slip. Police are now working with the bank to find the bag's owner. |

Found almost $4,000 in a wallet stuffed behind a payphone.
Was in the heart of a craphole neighborhood, no id, credit cards, nothing else in there except the cash. Yup, I kept it. Probably the only circumstances that I would do something like that. An ID, business card, something, and I would have tried to find the owner. 99.9% sure it was a drug drop. Bought my first car with that money (I was 16 at the time). I also didn't tell anyone I found it and pretty much stayed out of that neighborhood from that point on. I am guessing the person that lost $100k under those circumstances has had their face sewn into a soccer ball by now. ETA: Thanks for the truck Mr Random Drug Dealer. |

This. Under some twisted drug dealer logic, the finder probably "owes" them $100,000 in their minds. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Should not have released the name of the finder. This. Under some twisted drug dealer logic, the finder probably "owes" them $100,000 in their minds. The finder probably thought he was doing the right thing. Poor dumb bastard. |

This has dead drop written all over it.
Someone, somewhere is sweating and will probably eat it soon. |

As James Brolin found out, you don't keep a large sum of money you find.
Unless you can guess the outcome of a coin toss... |

That much cash? more than likely crime related...
I'd shovel and shutup for a few years. |

Probably just another rapper who totes around major cash and eats like he is poor before hitting the pole clubs and spreading the cash.
Bank receipt shall tell. |

Good for him. I'm sure it was some little old lady's life savings. |

I guess he didn't get the memo that genies can be very literal.....
" I want to disappear with $100,000 dollars......" |

I found a $100 dollar bill on the ground at a gas station last year. The first thing out of the mouth of almost everyone I told about it was, "Did you turn it in?"
