Congrats to those stuck south of me. Our 114 is going through its trial part, so we should be close behind.
Washington needs to get it's act together next. |

How soon before Cali says you must get a license which will cost hundreds and go through a BC to buy so called HC with some ridiculous fee to be paid, and ban the carrying of them from just about everywhere.

Should be capital offense when this gets struck down. All those that pushed it should have to pay for violating the civil rights of millions of Americans. Just being allowed to purchase again isn’t good enough.
No justice no f’n peace |

![]() Breaking: California's "High Capacity" Magazine Ban Overturned! ???? |
|
|
|
|
U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez in San Diego said California's "sweeping ban" went too far by preventing people from using magazines for lawful purposes, including self-defense.
"The history and tradition of the Second Amendment clearly supports state laws against the use or misuse of firearms with unlawful intent, but not the disarmament of the law-abiding citizen," Benitez wrote in a 71-page decision. ![]() |

Who is the member here with the weird toe avatar who likes Staccatos?
IIRC he said something about the Frosh case in MD waiting on this ruling to come out before it would be released. |

View Quote Yea we had one of those in Nj for carry permits. The circuit court ignored the arguments in the ruling and just overruled it. |

Quoted: Not yet, amigos. State commies requested a temporary stay so they could appeal. View Quote IIRC, there's some inside baseball involving Benitez releasing the ruling with a stay, allowing him to determine the terms of the stay. So, 10 says instead of 120 days. I could be wrong, I been wrong before. |

View Quote Here are the kill shots for any prohibitions from the opinion: p. 49 It is remarkable to discover that there were no outright prohibitions on keeping or possessing guns. No laws of any kind. p.50 From the adoption of the Second Amendment through the next 50 years, there were no firearm restrictions in any states north of the Mason-Dixon Line. p.51 If anything, regulations were not about what kind of firearm one was not allowed to keep, but about the kind of firearm one was required to buy and have ready for militia duties. The same was largely true south of the Mason-Dixon Line (disregarding laws targeting slaves and Indians, neither of which were considered to be citizens by lawmakers). A citizen could reside in any of the northern states and half of the southern states for the first fifty years free from state government firearm restrictions. |
