From my e-mail:
Two items in Bob Crook's last "Upcoming Events" should be of special
importance to all of us as NWCSC members. We have continuously asked CCS
for more lead time on these event announcements and now we have it! Lets get
to work and make some preparations for the following:
April 23rd. NRA Activist Meeting, to be held at Blue Trail Range in
Wallingford, at 7PM. This meeting is to discuss current bill status and a
May 5th sportsman's rally at the capitol. We need to have some attendance
at this meeting. If you can go, please let me know.
The May 5th Sportsman's Rally is our one chance to turn out in numbers
and send a message to legislators. We all have time to contact our clubs
and get the word out on this rally. Tell your members to take a day off if
necessary, a good showing in Hartford is crucial to our side. Its the one
chance where every individual has an opportunity to make himself heard.
If we can get some idea of numbers to attend from the clubs, we can
coordinate transportation, arrange for bus transport for those who need it,
Most of our clubs will hold a meeting before this rally date, please
bring it up and discuss the importance of every member getting to this
Any ideas on how we can be effective at the rally will be appreciated.
Remember this is our one, best chance to be heard in numbers, and the timing
is crucial as the end of the legislative session will be near. We want to
send a message to all legislators that we are watching and won't accept last
minute bills or amendments that adversely affect us.
