Just a reminder to the network news services...all the terrorist acts over the past 3 years have been performed by Muslims. Extremist, radicals, rebels...they were all Muslim.

The Colombians, Peruvians, and many others would beg to differ with you...
The taking and killing of hostages is quite common down there, and none of those involved are Muslim...

So would the Pakistanis (who both commit and are victimized by terrorisim), British, and such...

The fact is that the world does not see a 'Global Muslim Holy War', they see individual separate conflicts, with our war vs AQ & friends as a sideline.

So CNN, the Russian government and our Govt will all referr to the Chechens as separatist terrorists. Because that is how they see the problem.

The only time you will here 'Al Queda' mentioned (Remember, we are not at war with Islam, but rather with Islamic Terrorists, emphasis on the Terrorisim part, as much as some of you may wish otherwise) is when Putin comes over here asking for more foreign aid...

Then the Chechens suddenly become an extension of AQ...

But unless the Russians are asking for money, they, along with us and everyone else, have come to the consensus that it's Russia's war...

While you may draw connections between Muslim this and Muslim that, the folks in charge don't. Which is very good at times (when we are trying to liberate/westernize countries), and very bad at others (maybe if Putin drew a connection, he could be convinced to (a) not be an obstructionist PITA wrt middle eastern liberation, and (b) try not to win counter-insurgency campaigns with massed artillery & undisciplined brutality )
