I didn't think I'd ever see the day that the ProGun side would be shown on the liberal networks such as CNN. I've seen NRA infomercials on sundays and latenights before on the the occasional oddball channels. It sure will be nice for Gun Owners to get a fair shake for a change. I guess we'll have to wait and see. CAPITALIST

Not only should we wait and see, but if these ads are placed as they are saying and run nationally, we *all* ought to donate some money to get more on the air.

As the local Ad Agency guy on the board I can tell you that CNN needs to change its tune and fast.
Fox News eyeball numbers are better then CNN and that translates in my business as lost ad dollars for CNN. Have we turned a corner? |

Yes I agree... and since we are so fast to criticize someone for being anti-gun... we should be equally fast to voice our support directly to CNN about this issue. Not that we support CNN now... but that we... the Gun Owning public are paying attention and that we approve of this kind of advertising on CNN. If we let them know that they have a large Pro-Gun audience they will be more careful about offending us in the future. |

It sure is pretty funny that Cnn would run gun ads. I think it is about time, but unfortunately it really shows that they are definetly money, and ratings driven and not constitution driven, Fox is kicking there but because fox is fox, and people want to know the truth not all of this media bias bs. personally I listen to more talk radio then watching the TV news because the TV news is so full of crap anyway, I listen to lars larson,micheal savage,and the laura ingram show, it is amazing all of the things that are on these radio talk shows that you would never see or hear about on the regular news media. Plus just surfing the web for news articles from other countries you can find out more of what is going on in the US then any were else, oh well it is good the Cnn is changing there tune even if it will only be for a short period of time.

I agree 100% I don't remember who originally posted about these ads last week, but I read the thread, saw the ads and thought they would never get on any channel with those. Seems like they made it pretty far, lets hope the ad runs as advertised. If so, I am coughing up some cash for them. Maybe we can setup an AR15.com donation and everyone put in so the board can show one big donation?? Just an idea, again lets make sure they run as advertised. |

Does anyone know what this group really stands for? Nowhere on their site do they list what they do or don't support.
Are they against all gun control? Meaning if 150,000 people join an they air ads every day, will we be seeing repeal the AW ban ads? I like the yard sign ad the least. It's too short and I think it will fly right over the heads of the socialist liberals. The whole ad just relates to putting a sign in the yard, big deal. The other two ads are much better and drive home a major point. |

In the "mommy" one, a little girl keeps calling for her mommy. As she walks into the kitchen where her mommy is dead, it says 20,000 gun laws do no good because criminals don't obey them. That they disarm honwest citizens.
In the "intruder" one, a single woman is watching TV when she hears on the news a woman was murdered in her home and it says here is what you won't hear about on the news. 2 million times a year, gun owners stop a violent act. This is right as the thug is entering her home, she points a revolver at him. Seconds later, you see the cops hauling his ass off. The Yard sign one is them asking a couple if they support gun control. When they say yes, they ask them to put a sign in their yard that read "Attention criminals: We believe in gun control. We don't have any firearms." They look apprehensive and that night sneak out and remove the sign. |

The best thing I've seen in a very long time. What an excellent idea. For years the Libs have owned TV.... time to change that. I'm tired of avoiding Tv (except for the History Channel).
I went to their site and donated $100... Worth every penny knowing that these commercials will be airing on CNN. I'd give my left nut to see these aired prime-time for 1 week on CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX... |
