GIs from celebrated unit in gay porn?

Friday, January 27, 2006; Posted: 7:20 p.m. EST (00:20 GMT)

RALEIGH, North Carolina (AP) -- Army officials are investigating allegations that members of the celebrated 82nd Airborne Division appear on a gay pornography Web site, a spokeswoman said Friday.

Authorities at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, have begun an inquiry into whether the soldiers' actions violated the military conduct code.

Division spokeswoman Maj. Amy Hannah declined to say how many paratroopers are involved or identify their unit within the division. A defense official speaking on condition of anonymity said up to seven soldiers are involved.

Hannah said soldiers questioned will be allowed to seek legal assistance, but she declined to say if any one had been charged.

"Once the investigation is complete, the chain of command will take appropriate action," Hannah said.

The military-theme Web site does not appear to make any direct reference to the 82nd Airborne or Fort Bragg. The registered owner of the Web site's domain name lists an address in Fayetteville, the city that adjoins Fort Bragg.

E-mails to the registered owner were returned Friday as undeliverable, and the phone number listed on the domain-name registration is no longer in service.

The Web site includes a disclaimer, asking users to agree that they are not agents of the U.S. government, Department of Defense, members of law enforcement or reporters.

Martha Rudd, an Army spokeswoman at the Pentagon, said soldiers accused of homosexual activity might be removed from their units, although she did not have specific information about the investigation of the 82nd. When asked if the suspected soldiers had been moved out of barracks, Hannah declined to comment.

"We are concerned about the privacy and rights of each trooper involved and that they are treated with dignity and respect," Hannah said.

Maj. Todd Vician, a Defense Department spokesman in Washington, said the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy states that "homosexual orientation alone is not a bar to service, but homosexual conduct is incompatible with military service."

"We define homosexual conduct as homosexual acts or verbal or nonverbal communication that a member is homosexual," Vician said.

The 82nd Airborne is one of the most celebrated units in the military. Its 15,000 paratroopers are trained to deploy anywhere in the world within 18 hours.

Soldiers from the division have served extensively in Iraq and Afghanistan, and several thousand remain overseas.

If true, they should let the 82nd take care of their own.
I'm sure it wouldn't be pretty.

Before the "usual suspects" arrive:
The USMC had it's own East Coast/West Coast gay porn scandals back in the early to mid 1990s.

Thus the sequel to Brokeback Mountain begins..............

Mark my words, the next one after a gay-cowboy movie WILL be a gay-military movie. Closeted homos in the Marines meet in Iraq, "discover" themselves and come home as "changed men forever".

An old gf of mine's brother is doing gay porn now.  Just modelling, and he was in Playgirl.  Still kind of surprising.

Because it doesn't fit into any of the topics that ALL mainstream media news stories MUST fall into -

Mainstream Media News Coverage Topic List*:

Anti-GWBush
Anti-American
Anti-Military
Anti-Catholic
Anti-Christian
Anti-Gun
Anti-Republican
Anti-Whites
Anti-Male
Anti-Conservative
Anti-Israel
Anti-Capitalism
Pro-Abortion
Pro-Homosexual
Pro-European (same as above I guess)
Pro-United Nations
Pro-Palestinian
Pro-Muslim
Pro-Clinton
Pro-Marxist
Pro-Democrat (again, same as above)
Pro-African or other 3rd world shithole
Pro-Global Warming
Hollywood scandal/trial/divorce/rehab check-in, etc.
Missing white chick, (best if pregnant)

*The only exceptions to the above list are for the rare natural disaster, major fire, mine collapse, etc.

So you see, a high-ranking Iraqi General admitting that Iraq moved their WMDs to Syria right before the war just doesn't fit in any of the necessary topic categories.

Sorry Charlie.

I what to know who discovered this?  I mean why were they looking at the site in the first place.

Personally, I couldn’t care less.  If these guys are willing to die to protect all of us, I don’t consider it any of my business what they do in their free time, so long as they aren’t hurting anyone.

Legally?

The UCMJ is pretty clear.

Morally?

A gay guy goes and fights for the republic while pontificating ARFCOMERS (And others) sit on thier comfortable asses with various excuses as to why they are not going to serve....

....

Hmm.

I'm not saying ALL ARFCOMERs....If the shoe fits......And all that.

Whether anyone here wants to believe it or not, there are gay people in the military...I hate to break it to you.  There are gay people that have fallen in defense of the republic....I hate to be the one to break it to you.  Baron Von Stuben was gay....Hate to break it to you......

There are gays in the military.

Some "fags" are in boots, and, kicking in doors while ARFCOMERS snuggle in nice, comfy beds.

I guess sleeping in the flith of Afganistan or Iraq makes homosexuals less of men or women than straights that just lay back in the cut, and, refuse to serve becasue thier lives, just won't allow it....

Maybe we should just kinda use this time to get our priorities straight.

I don't care if a guy is a homo.  I have enough confidence a gay guy isn't going to look at me and, want some of my hairy ass......Frankly, I don't care how a guy feels, as long as he is a good soldier.

I'd have a gay male within 2 Ks of the FLOT before a female....Anyday.

Im not for or against homosexual people male or female they dont directly effect my life so I leave them alone...I dont go to gay parades or any establishment that caters primarily to the homosexual comunity....its like T.V. if I dont like the movie i change the channel....

If im aproached by a homosexual and he makes an unapropriate comment or action as long as its not physical I walk away...if my child observes it I explain why I think its wrong....

That being said...If president Clinton could get away with it..(married man having extramarital sex)..I think the soldiers should get away with it...otherwise its too much of a "All people are created equal but some are more equal than others"

don't ask don't tell, DON'T DO PORN

Goddamn.

Gays should be allowed to do whatever they want in their privacy just like everyone else but allowing yourself to be put on a gay porn website is retarded.

Yea like you said The UCMJ is pretty clear.

Morally...  obviously who cares as long as a soldier defends the Republic and does his job.

Hell what if he wants to marry his sister? he does it in his free time so its ok right??.

Who cares if he wants to dance in gay bars or be a gay prostitute..remember its ok because he performs at work.

What if he wants 2-3 wives?? he once again performs at work and is a good soldier, so it should be ok right????

Who cares about the example we make for the rest of the United States, If a guy wants to smoke pole during his off-time it should be ok right????

Soldiers of the United States of America are held to a higher standard.

Being a homosexual is not the standard, If you cannot meet the standard you gotta go.

FREE

What don't you understand?  You cannot be openly homosexual and be in the military at the same time.

This policy/rule/law has been in effect for a long time.  If you don't like it then write your congressman and have it changed.

And take your 'holier than though' attitude and shove it right up your ass with a candle on top.  I could care less if homosexuals want to join the military, but if they do then they have to abide by Clinton's 'don't ask, don't tell' policy.

Last time I checked this is a nation of laws.  We can't all do what we want to without suffering the consequences.  Now is that so hard for your to understand.

i agree.

I don't have a problem with a gays in the military and the current policy seems to be working just fine.  I just don't think society is ready for it, taken as a whole.

i know, sounds like the safe answer, but it really is my opinion.
