Just bought some hair clippers. I'm a cheap bastard and was wondering if CLP would work as oil on the trimmers instead of buying expensive special purpose oil.

I use 3 in 1 oil. Never thought of using CLP, but I'm gonna try it now!

CLP is the ONLY thing I use on my electric clippers. Works wonders.

CLP, Militec-1, the little sample of oil that came with them, whatever I had.

I'll be different. I use stuff called Uncle Charlie's Magic Oil. That's really the name of it, and no, it's not "special" oil. MJD

I guess that means my FP-10 would work REALLY well.

use WD-40

I heard it's safe to use on machinery for foods, so it should be safe for hair clippers too

Not a bad idea - have quite a bit of clp handy. ANd, I'm cheaper than you are: my wife has named me "El Cheapo", so there! (It stems from a parking meter incident in St. Augustine)

I probably would but I haven't run out the stuff that came with the clippers.
