My wife decided to clean out the fridge.  Crammed everything down the garbage disposal in the kitchen sink.

CLOGGED!!!!!!

It's just clogged in the disposal, or the pipe that connects the disposal to the other side of the sink and to the out drain.  The other side of the sink drains fine.

DRANO and LIQUID PLUMBER said not to use them in garbage disposals.  NEED HELP!!!!

Your pipe that connects from the out side of the disposer to the other side of your other sinks  drain is clogged up. It has a slant valve in the tube that prevents it from filling up the drain line with too much disposal debris. Take it apart. Only way.

EDITED TO SAY. You might be able to get away with just taking off the drain pipe from the disposal out to the drain "T".

Run your garden hose to the sink, stuff a rag around it to help seal it and turn it on while the garbage disposal is running.  If that don't flush it loose, disassemble the trap and defunk it.

ETA that some garbage disposals can be manually turned backwards to help un stop them.  Turn power off first!

Disassembly required dude.

Need to clean out the outlet on the disposal unit and the trap that it attaches to.

Take the appropriate sized allen wrench for the little hole in the bottom of the disposal and crank it backwards a few turns to be sure the blades are free.

Reassemble, then fill the sink over the disposal to the brim with luke warm water.  Pull the plug, count to 3 then turn on the disposal.  Should work.  IF not, try a plunger, WITH THE DISPOSAL OFF.

I've had the same happen several times before the g/f got lessons in how to properly use the disposal.
