You got some work to do man.

On a side note, are there any good filipino restaurants around NY?

3 or 4 years ago we had 12 inches  over about 3 days in Albuquirky. Here's what our cars looked like:

it makes clearing off the windshield easier, you wont have to go digging to lift them once the snow hits.

I picked up this little trick after seeing all the cars at the LIRR parking lots the same way just before a snowstorm.

Holy moley!!

We missed this one up here in Michigan.......whew!!
Link Posted: 12/20/2009 4:19:01 AM EDT
Why put the wipers up? I have seen that a couple of times now. Is it so they dont stick to the windshield or so the snow plow dont mistake it for just a snow hill or something?
Link Posted: 12/20/2009 4:19:41 AM EDT

Makes cleaning the windshield a LOT easier.

I had to turn the wipers on to clear the condensation off the windshield.

BTW, that's suntan lotion on the mirror.

+1

This way they don't ice and stick to the windshield, becoming a real pain in the ass to remove without damaging them. No more scraping until the scraper stops, then hunting/digging them out to put them up anyway so you can finish scraping.

you live in NY....EWWWWWWW gross
Link Posted: 12/20/2009 4:35:11 AM EDT

Well... here in FL, it's a nice high of 60* and low of 41*.  Tampa

My house (just slightly north of Tampa) it's H 60* / L 36*.

Weather is comfortable down here.

Good luck with all that snow.  At least you have enough to build an igloo.

I made a fire in the fireplace last night. Does that count?

Damn, that sucks!

Good luck digging yourself out.

Glad I came to visit NY in October
Link Posted: 12/20/2009 4:48:41 AM EDT
I feel for you that snow looks heavy and wet.  At least here the snow is usually dry and powdery.

Link Posted: 12/20/2009 4:48:52 AM EDT
Wow.  And I was pissed I had to use a credit card to scrape a little frost off my rental in Charlotte the other day.

Have fun cleaning that crap off!

(I don't miss the NE a bit. FL FTMFW)

I'll post pics of my truck after i've finished shovelling snow for a few hours to get to it. I thought Virginia was still in the "south".

I just park in the  garage so I don't have to scrape my windows.  Drive the  snow blower up and down the drive once or twice and it's all done.

The new avatar is great!

Can't say I miss the weather.  I'm from CT but moved to Orlando when I graduated HS.  I'm going back in a couple weeks and can't wait.  I'm actually hoping we get something like this while I'm there and score a couple days of extra vaca.

Nice.  I used to do the same thing with my Mercur Xr4Ti when I lived up there.  Big cowl hood, make the spoiler even bigger...good times.

It'll be 73 today. Think I'll go swimming.

You don't have to shovel sunshine here. I love it.

BTW, what is that WHITE stuff in the pictures?

A week ago:

Incredibly light powder.  A leaf blower could have taken it all off in one or two passes.

Seeing that makes me start thinking what I think every winter.  Sell the KLR and get a Ural so I can ride year round.

Climate change is so last year.  Global Warming is once again the "in" term since Obama took office.

A Ural would be cool, but there is no need to sell your KLR
