I'm really sorry to hear about this. I wish there was something more I could say, but I realize there are no words I can type here that could properly honor your dad or ease your pain.

May he rest in peace and may God bless you and your family and keep you strong in your time of loss.

Thank you for your kind comments.

I would just like to add: He was buried in a Veteran's Cemetary with full military honors: Honor Guard, Rifle Salute, and Bugler. At the request of my Mom, The Flag was presented to me by the Honor Guard. It was the single most moving moment of my life. I cried like a baby.

My condolences.

Many years ago I also lost my dad, a Korean vet.

First time I ever cried at a funeral - I think I know how you feel.

Hang in there, things will get better.

My condolences. I lost my father (a WWII Vet) quite a few years ago. He was in the Army Air Corp.
They did a missing man flyby of the cemetary and I was moved beyond words.

When a man loses his father it can be a difficult and painful time. I understand . My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My most sincere condolences. May God grant you strength in the days ahead. Remember, honoring is forever, but mourning is temporary; you WILL feel better soon.

For those of you with surviving parents, please take a moment out of your "o so busy" lives to call home. Now.

Sorry for your loss. He sounds like he was quite a guy.

Sorry Old buddy, as we get older this happens more often. I lost someone last week also.
I believe time, for others who passed before us, is differant for them than us. I don't believe
it is like hands on a clock. Forty years for us is maybe an instant for them. Believing this and also believing the Gospel Of Jesus Christ I can say this: Your Dad is watching as we speak and he feels joy and great pride in his children left on Earth, for he knows you will be together as a family in the not too distant future.
