simply call the atf and ask about obtaining a 03FFL Curios & Relics.

They will send you an application. ATF Form 7 CR (5310.16)

Fill out said application and in 1-2 months, you will have a 03FFL.

What does having an FFL have to do with buying from Brownells?

If there are no promo codes unless you have a FFL/C&R, you could've just said so. Thank you though.

Im not really sure of promo codes. But this route is so much nicer.
Its worth just having around for the discounts.

I have a buddy who is in business, but not a FFL or C&R, and he buys stuff from Brownells all the time. He pays dealer cost (wholesale). What does that have to do with the ATF?

The ATF is who gives you the license....to qualify for the dealer pricing.

You don't have to have a license to get dealer pricing from Brownells! You just have to be in buiness and have a tax number. He buys lots of stuff from them...just no recievers.

+1 on that , all you need is a tax permit.

Are those easier to get than a C&R?

Do i have to be a business to partake?

Depends on where you live.
For example, in TN, having a tax # requires you to pay minimum $100 excise tax each year.

OTOH, an 03 FFL costs $30 or so for 3 years.

I am just happy that some of the major companies will extend dealer pricing to 03 FFL's.  I guess they realize that anyone that would go to the trouble to get an 03 likely spends $$$ on their toys and tries to win their loyalty.  It sures has worked on me, since I try either Midway or Brownells first and rarely, if ever, buy elsewhere.
