Well I got my Beretta Storm in 9mm today - paid $549.  I think that was a good deal.  Now to the bad part.

I took the gun apart, it comes apart easily by pushing a pin out and the upper seperates from the lower.  So then all of a sudden, pop, then the PLASTIC spring guide rod broke.  The end of the rod which goes into a back plastic piece and locks the spring onto the rod just sheared off.  So now I have a brand new broken gun.  The spring guide rod is plastic and it has a small end on the back which goes in another piece of plastic which holds the spring captured.  What kind of cheap ass plastic is Beretta using on these guns.  If you have a new Beretta Storm, I would definately get another guide rod because they are cheap ass parts.   So has anyone used Beretta service?  I will be calling them ASAP to see what they will do about this.  Or should I just take the damn thing back and get my money back?  I sure don't have a lot of faith in a gun which breaks before it even gets fired.
