Dumbass... :-)

It's a variant of the CVR(T) family, the base vehicle of which is Scorpion. It is the only armoured vehicle in the British Army which fires ATGMs, in this case, Swingfires, which are analagous to TOWs, but still quite potent. It is assigned to Recce units to cover the Scimitars.

man, i tried so hard to get reclassed to stryker when the option came up for our company but it went to somebody with more time in grade. i think they are pretty neat, been in a few and always see them at the bradley range across the street from my neighborhood.

how does it work?  is 11A like an 11M? is it like the brads,  basically mechanized infantry that gets a rotating position on  the vehicle either as crew or dismount?  or is the MOS specifically related to stryker crewmen only and the dismounts are all 11b's?

The illuminati are mere pawns of the true powers than run the world. It's a well known fact that there's a secret society of the five wealthiest people in the world, known as The Pentaveret, who run everything in the world, including the newspapers, and meet tri annually at a secret country mansion in Colorado, known as The Meadows. This Pentaveret includes The Queen, the Rothchilds, the Gettys, the Vatican, and Santa Claus before he went tits up. Oh, I hated Santa with his wee beady eyes... because he puts an addictive chemical in his toys that makes ya crave for it nightly!

11A is infantry officer. We only have 11A, 11B and 11C in the battalion, besides support MOS. The drivers and vehicle commanders are all 11Bs, except for the mobile gun system crewman, which are 19K.

mobile gun system?  that isnt the 105mm that flips the thing over all the time is it?   im asuming thats what they were pulling us for, because im a 19K.

MGS doesn't roll or flip. I have seen video of it shooting 90 degrees while on the move. But yes, that's what the 19K in the SBCT are for. There is a 3 gun platoon in every line company.

wow, havent seen one yet.  we saw a video back when i was in basic training where the gun would fire at 90 degrees and the chassis would flip over.  i guess they solved that problem.

any specific mods to it, like hydraulics to raise one side and brace during firing?

every time i get in a stryker im amazed by the level of technology, unlike those of use not graced with the A2 abrams that are still dealing with 20 year old dials and switches on everything.

25 years old, now.

The problems of firing a 105mm over the side of a wheeled vehicle are grossly overstated by the vehicle's detractors. Similar vehicles can fire 120mm without any of those hydraulic supports.

According to publically available sources, if you want to drive or ride in an Stryker NBCRV, you have to be a 74D (or chemical officer, 74A?), and that one has air conditioning.

If you ask General Dynamics, it hasnt had a flipping problem for several years.
